A beautiful statement piece with wonderful presence, this substantial hand-carved Afghan Jade elephant features a soft creamy ivory-to-pale celadon coloration with a gently translucent quality that catches the light beautifully.

The elephant has been carved in a traditional style with a lowered trunk, large sweeping ears, defined tusks, softly rounded body and hand-incised detailing throughout the face, ears, legs and trunk. I especially love the simplicity of this carving—the pale stone allows the sculptural form and natural translucency to take center stage.
